He was born in 1879 at Kirkdale in Liverpool. He was the son of Edward and the late Mrs. French; husband of Elizabeth French (nee Turner), of 23, Philip St., Linacre, Lancs. His life is celebrated by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Debt Of Honour, Tower Hill Memorial.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly there was another Edward Stanley French, born in Bootle in 1892. She originally booked passage on Cameronia before she was transferred to Lusitania.
